What is the electoral roll?
The Electoral Roll is a list of the list of names and addresses of a church's membership. Only those on the roll may vote at annual meetings.
A new roll was created in 2007 and is renewed every six years. This year and subsequent years up to 2013, the electoral role will only be amended with any new names that have been added or names of those who are no longer members taken off.
No-one over 18 can be elected to the PCC until they have been Electoral Roll members for 6 months. People under the age of 18 can be elected to the PCC from their 16th birthday.
Who can be on the roll?
Anybody aged over 16, who lives in the parish, or who has worshipped regularly at St. Martin's for at least 6 months.
